Missouri River - Arrow Rock State Historic Site, MO. The spring runoff created problems for the keelboat, and it was difficult to avoid the many large trees floating downstream. At one point, the keelboat nearly capsized. Only the quick and professional action of the crew saved the boat from destruction.
